This place is AWESOME!!! It literally rained the whole time we were there but we didn't care...It was beautiful!! Hubby snorkeled, I lounged and shopped. We ate great food. Only regret I have is now you have to book through your cruise line. I booked it myself back in 2009.

The Maya Key Resort and Animal Sanctuary was the highlight of our vacation. We talk about the animals almost daily. Our favorites were "GEORGE" the silliest monkey in the world and "BRISTLE" the most kind-hearted pig. We would spend a couple hours with the animals and try to break away only to return to pet them some more. This place is wonderful and is filled with caregivers who only have the animals best interests at heart. We visited while cruising on NCL'S Epic. We can't wait to someday return. Thank-You Maya Key!!!!!!

I enjoyed the tour given by Victoria and loved meeting Cindy. The lunch prepared of fried Sea Bass, beans and rice, salad and fried plantains was great (my husband said the chicken was yummy). He snorkeled, I relaxed. it was his first time snorkeling and he loved it.
Most importantly, the animals were spoiled and truly had some of the saddest and most impressive stories (Julius Caesar in particular) and I know we couldn't have picked a more impressive trip. Please support this very new community (2 years officially opened and 3 years with animal rescues) of care-givers as they are an extremely new facility and really care about the welfare of their critters. God bless them for the work they do and I hope many other cruise go-ers take excursions to see this place. Its well worth it. talk about beautiful and perfect. I could have stayed there forever!!!!
