Bay Islands’ Interpretation Center
Artifact Reproduction of the Copan Ruins in Honduras
At the Bay Islands’ Interpretation Center visitors will be enlightened on the cultural Mayan legacy of Honduras, as it relates to the natural flora and fauna of the region. It aims to raise awareness and motivate interest in protecting the country’s archaeological remains, as well as the protection of endangered species endemic to Honduras and their ecosystems.
Through a guided tour of the center, showcases that display genuine artifact reproduction as well as beautiful text murals, visitors will come away enriched with knowledge and a deepened appreciation for the Mayan culture and their interaction with the nature that surrounded them.
